2012marchforlife-3January 23, 2012 (WASHINGTON, DC) - On Monday, the pilgrims from Boston gathered at the Shrine of the Sacred Heart in Washington, DC, which is where Cardinal Seán O'Malley first served after being ordained. After Mass with the Cardinal and lunch, the pilgrims were to head out to the March for Life itself, where they were to walk with more than 400,000 people in a witness for life and against the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision.

2012marchforlife-2January 22, 2012 (WASHINGTON, DC) - Boston pilgrims on a multi-day trip to Washington, DC, including the annual March for Life on Monday, visited several locations in the city on Sunday, including the National Shrine of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception.The Office for the New Evangelization of Youth and Young Adults and several parishes have organized more than 500 youth, young adults, and leaders in a Pilgrimage for Life that includes middle school, high school, and young adult tracks and that incorporates many spiritual experiences as part of the multi-day journey, including the 39th annual March for Life in Washington, DC.

Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, apostolic nuncio to the United States, read the apostolic letter of appointment from Pope Benedict XVI.
