The Facilities Management Department is involved in the design, maintenance, construction, and renovation of parishes in the Archdiocese of Boston, covering a land area of over 3,000 sq. miles and including more than 1,800 buildings. In addition, the department assists with safety issues at the parish, such as the removal or abatement of hazardous materials.
The department works in conjunction with architects and engineers in advising and providing these services to pastors and administrators. Our staff acts as advisors to the parishes and liaisons between the Pastor and outside contractors, inspectors and engineers. We also provide recommendations to the parishes for contractors in their area.
