The Secretary for Education is delegated to coordinate the educational apostolate of the Archdiocese of Boston and serves as a memeber of the Archdiocesan Administrative Cabinet.
The Secretary as Superintendent of Schools is the Chief Administrative Officer of the elementary and secondary schools of the Archdiocese. Executive governance is exercised in implementing the educational policies of the Archdiocese of Boston as approved and promulgated by the Archbishop. The Superintendent works to advance the educational mission of the schools.
