John XXIII and John Paul II will be raised to Sainthood on April 27, 2014, the day on which the Church celebrates the Second Sunday of Easter and Divine Mercy. Blessed John Paul II served as pope from 1978 to 2005 and was beatified by Pope Benedict XVI on Divine Mercy Sunday, May 1, 2011. Blessed John XXIII was pope from 1958 to 1963; Blessed John Paul II beatified him in 2000.

Pope Francis will celebrate the first Mass of Canonization of his pontificate in Saint Peter’s Square. The Mass airs LIVE at 3:30AM and rebroadcasts at 11AM and 8PM ET.
The CatholicTV Network will air coverage on CatholicTV and CatholicTV.com. CatholicTV, in partnership with Boston University’s College of Communication (COM), will provide international coverage of the canonizations of John XXIII and John Paul II as well. Updates will be broadcast throughout the week of April 21-27.
