The mission of Catholic Charities is to build a just and compassionate society rooted in the dignity of all people.  Catholic Charities, established in 1903, is the primary social service agency of the Roman Catholic Church in Greater Boston.  Catholic Charities offers 139 programs through 43 service sites located throughout Eastern Massachusetts.  The agency’s programs include community health and social services, residential shelters and transitional housing, mental health counseling and substance abuse treatment programs, refugee and immigration services and parish social ministry.
