Water-wise landscaping

Using less water on outdoor landscaping can make an enormous difference. In the Worcester region, water use increases by 25% in the summer as homes and businesses turn on the sprinklers, mostly for watering lawns. Lawns are typically the biggest water user in any landscape. However, by practicing “xeriscaping,” i.e. planting low-water use plants, your parish outdoor water use can be greatly reduced.
