It is the goal of the Pastoral Center to remain open during inclement weather unless travel conditions make it hazardous to get to work. Communications Coordinator (PT), River of Divine Mercy Catholic Collaborative, Dracut, MA

The River of Divine Mercy Catholic Collaborative (Parishes of Ste Marguerite d’Youville, Dracut; St. Rita’s, Lowell; St. Mary Magdalen, Tyngsboro) is in search of a part-time Communications Coordinator to create, organize, and implement effective communications within our parishes and for outreach to the surrounding communities.  This position includes partnering with staff, the Pastor, and volunteers to proactively plan and promote ministries and events. This is a part-time non-benefits eligible position.

Responsibilities:

  • Write and edit content for Collaborative weekly bulletin.
  • Develop and manage website content.
  • Develop and manage social media content, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
  • Create and execute mail and email campaigns.
  • Be present at Parish and Collaborative events for photography and promotional needs, and develop and coordinate teams of volunteers to assist with presence and promotion of events.
  • Recommend techniques to improve Collaborative branding.
  • Ensure that all promotional and marketing materials meet Church guidelines and promote positive interaction within the Collaborative and for Evangelization.
  • Serve as point of contact for media and public questions.
  • Assess and report on the effectiveness of communication strategies.

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a focus on service to others.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Public Relations, or Journalism.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working in a marketing or communications position.
  • Possess a solid understanding of effective marketing techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Must have excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.
