Director of Faith Formation (FT), St. Isidore Parish, Lakeville, Middleboro, Rochester, MA
St. Isidore Parish, Lakeville, Middleboro, Rochester, is seeking a creative and energetic individual to fill the position of full-time Director of Faith Formation. The successful candidate will have excellent time management skills and experience in adult, child, and family faith formation. St. Isidore Parish is committed to evangelizing and forming families of faith. This is a benefit-eligible position.
Director of Faith Formation Responsibilities
Develop a Faith Formation Team
Act as liaison between Pastor and Faith Formation Team
Design and set a vision for faith formation focused on forming families of faith
Evaluate faith formation programs and offerings including selection of texts, materials, resources, and curriculum
Oversee Family Faith Coordinator, Sacramental Coordinator, OCIA Coordinator and Adult Confirmation Coordinator and act as a source of support/guidance
Plan overall annual faith formation schedule
Lead faith formation meetings as needed
Provide faith formation updates at monthly staff meetings
Provide faith formation updates and serve as ex-officio member of Parish Pastoral Council at bi-monthly meetings
Attend RCAB Faith Formation meetings
Oversee and process annual faith formation registrations
Maintain database in ParishSoft of registered participants in Faith Formation Programs
Recruit, support, and train volunteers for faith formation programs to include a curriculum design team, group facilitators, greeters, set-up and meal help
Ensure compliance with all child safety protocols by all volunteers and participants
Qualifications:
Minimum of five years’ experience in parish faith formation as a Catechist
Supervisory experience
Practicing Roman Catholic in good standing
Bachelor's degree required in theology, ministry, or related field (MA preferred - will consider those candidates with appropriate experience)
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
Ability to lift/carry up to 35 pounds
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Driver’s license and reliable transportation
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Access), ParishSoft, and Google Classroom a plus
Has a love for Jesus Christ and His Church and is able to express that love and relationship through discussion with others
Must have a comprehensive knowledge of Catholic Church teachings with particular emphases in the areas of evangelization and discipleship
