May 7, 2025 - Archbishop's Statement on the First Day of the Conclave

Today, the Cardinal Electors entered the Conclave  to elect our new Holy Father. All around the world we do our part by accompanying them in prayer. And so I ask all of the clergy, religious, and faithful of the Archdiocese of Boston to join in prayer during the days of the Conclave. I encourage you to participate at daily Mass, spend time in adoration, pray a novena, or pray the Rosary. May the Lord give the Cardinals the humility to listen for the promptings of the Spirit and the wisdom to seek to do God’s will.

May their discernment strengthen and give increase to the Church.
