January 25, 2017 – Cardinal to Lead 800 Archdiocese of Boston Pilgrims to the 44th Annual National March for Life.
This week 800 youth and young adults from the Archdiocese of Boston will join Cardinal Seán P. O’Malley for the 44th annual National March for Life in Washington, D.C., Jan. 27. The groups, led by the Secretariat for Evangelization and Discipleship and the Hispanic apostolate, depart January 26th and return to Massachusetts on January 28th.
The Boston pilgrims will include groups comprised of middle school, a high school, and families. Highlights from the itineraries for the middle school and high school groups include a Life is Very Good Rally at George Mason University on Jan. 26, Mass at the Shrine of the Sacred Heart and the march on Jan. 27, and Mass at the St. Paul Chung Parish in Fairfax, Va. Opportunities for faith sharing, group reflections, and prayer will also be provide throughout the trip.
As is tradition, Mass at the Shrine of the Sacred Heart will be celebrated by Cardinal Seán, who will also concelebrate the Vigil Mass for Life held at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception Thursday evening (Jan 26). The March takes place on Friday, January 27th.
