February 28, 2017 - Location Change for the Rite of Election

Each year the Cardinal invites catechumens and candidates from the Archdiocese to come together in the Cathedral of the Holy Cross for the annual Rite of Election and Call to Continuing Conversion on the First Sunday of Lent.  This year we had planned to celebrate these liturgies at other parishes because the Cathedral had planned to start a major restoration project that would have closed the church for construction beginning in January.

Since the Cathedral is still available for liturgical services, the Rite of Election will now be celebrated there this Sunday, March 5th.  The first liturgy will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. with the second taking place at 4:30 p.m. Parishes are invited to participate in either one of the rites, regardless of their region.

Finally, you will be happy to know that the Cathedral parking lot is available, as well as a number of other parking lots in the neighborhood.  Click here for an overview of the options. If you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected].

With gratitude for your understanding, and prayers for all those who are in the process of initiation.
