October 27, 2017 - Dedication of Harbor Place, a Transformative Residential and Commercial Development in Haverhill
Cardinal Seán P. O’Malley, Secretary Jay Ash and Mayor James Fiorentini will join the Planning Office for Urban Affairs of the Archdiocese of Boston and the Greater Haverhill Foundation to celebrate the dedication of Harbor Place, a new development in Haverhill that includes mixed-income housing; a 5-story commercial building; a new public plaza; and a grand boardwalk that allows pedestrian access to the Merrimack River from the downtown for the first time in over 80 years.
The Planning Office for Urban Affairs, Inc. and the Greater Haverhill Foundation, Inc. partnered to develop Harbor Place at one of Haverhill’s most critical locations for future growth. Harbor Place embraces residential, retail, commercial, institutional and recreational uses, encouraging new housing and economic development opportunities through an innovative partnership with local institutions, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the City of Haverhill.
